Dog Grooming FAQ

Can my dog be groomed while they’re boarded or at daycare?

Of course! You can request a grooming appointment for your pet online or just let us know at drop off if you would like to add a grooming service to their stay. Our goal is for your dog to feel like they’re on vacation too! Just like a luxury resort, we have add-ons and extras to make their stay the absolute best.

You can drop off as early as 7AM on your first day and pick us as late as 11AM on the final day of boarding. There will be a late charge of $22 to cover the half day of daycare on the last day if you pick up after 11AM. However, this fee will be waived if you add a bath or groom to their final day!

How old should my puppy be before he gets his first groom?

It is good to have your puppy become familiar with grooming as early as possible after their puppy shots, usually around 4 months old. This will help them learn at an early age that grooming is a pleasant experience.

How often do nails need trimming?

Generally a dog’s nails need trimming every 6 weeks.

What Our Dog Grooming Customers Are Saying

Real reviews from happy pet parents and tail-wagging guests!

“We love Vera’s Doggy Daycare & Boarding! Our dog Nando is always well cared for and happy in their care. We love the option of getting him bathed on occasion before he returns home.”

Angela P.
OKC Pet Parent

“They were awesome! My baby was pretty matted and nervous. They listened to me and took their time with him and he looks great! He was calm when I picked him up which makes me so happy cause the other groomer traumatized him.”

Shawna R.
OKC Pet Parent

“We take our dogs there every 3 months for grooming. Great friendly staff. They do a great jobs and take care of the little ones.”

“Been taking our baby girl to Vera’s her whole life. She LOVES all of them and we LOVE that she is happy, healthy, safe, well cared for, and loved there. Now we take our new puppy there too and she also loves it. Also, major props and shoutout to the groomer who is AMAZING!!!! Couldn’t imagine taking our girls anywhere else.”

Katie G.
Moore Pet Parent

“You guys are so responsive to calls and texts. I love the video cam, and D’art obviously loves it there, and he has had an experience before at a place that didn’t treat him well, and he let me know it. I love all of the activities that you offer even if we don’t participate all of the time. His grooming is fantastic. Thanks for taking such good care of him when we’re gone out of town. It really puts my mind to rest.”

Dog Daycare

Dogs love it here. They love it so much that a few have even escaped their homes and made their way here! We don’t condone it, but it is a great doggy review!
